“Three of the four protesters were escorted out of the stadium without incident. The fourth protester fixed his bare feet on the ground. As such, NYPD and medical personnel were required to safely remove the individual from the stadium.” , the tournament organizers said in a statement.
The four people were initially taken into custody by the NYPD.
According to the organizer, a total of 49 minutes elapsed before the match could be resumed.
