Founded in 2018 as a fintech specializing in solar financing and today established as a climatetech with more than 12,000 partners in Latin America, Solfacil is the newest member of Brazilian Association of Digital Credit – ABCD.

Offering options ranging from financing to the solar equipment store, the company has already made more than 61,000 projects feasible, with a total installed capacity of 436,421 MWp. The installation of photovoltaic panels financed by Solfácil so far has contributed to avoiding the emission of more than 21 thousand tons of CO2e, reinforcing its positive impact in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Among the main products and services offered by Solfácil is the financing of photovoltaic systems for consumers and companies that wish to invest in renewable and sustainable energy, thus obtaining savings on their electricity bills.

“We are excited to be active agents in the movement to help thousands of Brazilians break free from their energy bills by financing photovoltaic solar energy systems. The solar energy market in Brazil is constantly growing, and we are proud to play a significant role in this advancement. We are committed to providing affordable and innovative financial solutions to drive the adoption of solar energy across the country, making it a viable reality for more people,” says Fábio Carrara, CEO and founder of Solfácil.

The initiatives financed by Solfácil fall into the renewable energy category of the Green Bond Principles and contribute to a 95% reduction in the energy bill for the period the system is in operation, with an estimated 20 to 25 years of life useful.

With a project to provide self-service to professional integrators later this year, Solfácil also acts to simplify the processes of financing and distribution of photovoltaic solar equipment. With recent investments in distribution centers, the company was able to significantly improve delivery times, providing a more assertive experience for customers. In addition, the company has made efforts to improve usability and navigation in the Solfácil store, ensuring a more fluid and efficient experience.

About arrival at ABCD, Carrara highlights the importance of aligning with the best practices in the financial and technological market and having access to a wide network with other companies in the segment. “We believe that participation in industry associations and entities is fundamental for the exchange of information and experiences and for the constant improvement of our services and products. As a member of the association, Solfácil has access to several initiatives and events that contribute to the evolution of the digital credit market in Brazil, in addition to being able to contribute to the formulation of policies and regulations that can positively impact the sector”, he says.

“One of ABCD’s main goals is the promotion of a more inclusive and efficient credit environment in Brazil. We believe that this is a fundamental premise for the democratization of access to credit and for the generation of opportunities for all Brazilians”, concludes the executive.

In the opinion of Claudia Amira, executive director of the Associação Brasileira de Crédito Digital, the arrival of Solfácil strengthens the entity’s representation, also opening space for the expansion of the environmental agenda in the sector. “ABCD is committed to a digital credit market that is smarter, more inclusive and connected to society’s current demands. In this way, sustainability is naturally on our radar.”
