He Club Atlético River Plate signed this Monday morning an agreement with the State Assets Administration Agency (AABE)dependent on gnational government, to make use, free of charge and without a time limit, of a 7.3-hectare piece of land located just one kilometer from the Monumental stadium.
The property is located on the banks of the Río de la Plata, in the 5700 Cantilo Avenuebetween Avenida Lugones, the stream Medrano and the Federal Shotand will be assigned by the club chaired by Jorge Brito to build a first level training center for the entity’s training divisions.
According to the official page of the entity of Nuñez, this agreement is the result of “arduous management” by the club, which has been under management for more than a year and a half and which involved the Argentine Navy, the Ministry of Defense, the National Human Rights Secretariat and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. In addition, of course, to the work of the FATHER which was the one that resolved, according to River, “that these invaluable lands become in the hands of the Club.”
According to the official website of AABE, the transfer of these lands, which will continue to belong to the National State, provides a framework for the “development of social, educational and sports policies with civil societies, which it has been developing with various sports institutions.”
At the signing of this agreement granting River the usufruct of 73.362,35 square meters were present the President of the river plate entity, Jorge Pablo Brito and the Secretary General Stefano Di Carlo. On behalf of AABE, they signed Eduardo Albanese and Juan Debandi, President and Vice President of said organization.
“This agreement was obtained by pooling the interests of all the actors involved and working from River to unblock conflicts and needs, so that pending issues can be resolved and progress in the use of an extremely valuable space in the Ciudad and for our Club, with a clear social, educational and sporting objective for the entire community”, said Brito.
The new spaces will be used for the club’s men’s and women’s football training divisions, for whom a top-level high-performance center will be built. River He plans to invest some 10 million dollars in this property with which he will build, among other things, six regulation soccer fields, the training center for athletes who live on site, a concentration, a SUM, common spaces, and a confectionery.
According to the official website of the River Plate entity, the extension of this new 7.3-hectare property has almost the same area that it achieved Antonio Vespucci Liberti, former president of the entity, 90 years ago, to build the Monument.
