ALGIERS – The National Agricultural Mutual Fund (CNMA Assurance) signed a partnership agreement with the Agro-industrial Group (AGRODIV), to ensure the protection of assets and responsibilities linked to the economic activity of the group and its subsidiaries , particularly in terms of insurance and risk management, the mutuality said in a press release on Sunday.
This partnership agreement, signed last Thursday at the AGRODIV Group headquarters in Algiers, is part of “the CNMA Assurance strategy aimed at strengthening its support for economic operators in the agri-food sector,” said the same source. .
In this context, CNMA Assurance undertakes “to take charge of strategic risks, in particular those linked to the agri-food industry, such as risks which affect the storage of cereals and dried vegetables in silos, cryptogamic diseases which occur and threaten plants and crops and which can impact the food supply chain, leading to disruption and economic losses, which can also have a negative impact on national sovereignty.
In this regard, the agricultural mutuality affirmed that “in this complex area, the experienced experts of CNMA Assurance play a key role in designing tailor-made solutions to anticipate and mitigate the specific risks faced by the agri-food sector, in order to guarantee the protection of actors in the food supply chain with the aim of achieving food security in the country.
According to the press release, “this strategic partnership underlines the CNMA’s commitment to supporting the sustainable development of the agri-food sector and this collaboration with the AGRODIV group marks a significant step in the pursuit of this objective, by offering insurance coverage adapted to specific needs of the agri-food industry.
For the CNMA, this “alliance” with the AGRODIV group also represents “a mutually beneficial strategic partnership”, while mentioning that “by uniting their skills, the two entities aspire to create a synergy which will contribute significantly to the development of the sector agri-food industry in Algeria.
Thus, CNMA Assurance is committed to providing its expertise in risk management and offering a range of insurance products, thus allowing the AGRODIV group to protect itself against the challenges inherent to its activity.
“In return, the AGRODIV group, specialized in the processing of agricultural and livestock raw materials, enriches the activities of CNMA Assurance by broadening its field of intervention,” said the press release.
