Coach change at regional league team Vöcklamarkt | Nachrichten.at

The UVB Oberbank Vöcklamarkt is pulling the ripcord: After four defeats in a row and the fact that they were back in the relegation zone, the Upper Austrian third division team was forced to make this decision and released coach Thomas Laganda with immediate effect.

Omer Tarabic, sporting director of the Hausruckviertler, regrets this development: “Of course we would all have wished we could continue with the desired long-term solution with ‘Latsch’. After internally reviewing the last games and our overall situation, the board unanimously decided to end the cooperation. Unfortunately, the whole thing has become apparent, the team now needs new impulses so that we can stabilize the situation as quickly as possible. We would like to express our thanks for the good cooperation and wish Thomas Laganda all the best in his private and professional life.”

Successor ante portas

As the OÖN learned, the search for a successor is about to be completed: 39-year-old Bernhard Kletzl is supposed to save the green-yellow team from relegation. Most recently, the Salzburger was active as head coach at Regionalliga West club Wals-Grünau. He has also already set up the Salzburg clubs Anif and Bürmoos.

Kletzl is no stranger to Upper Austria: in his active playing career he wore the Mondsee jersey for three years (2007 to 2010) and half a year for the Innviertel club St. Pantaleon (2012). He could make his debut in the home game against Weiz next Friday.
