A large-scale police operation caused an uproar in the Burgenland community of Schattendorf on Monday followingnoon. The Cobra special unit cordoned off a street on site in order to arrest a man in his house. Residents were unable to go into their homes during the operation, which lasted several hours. According to the “Kronen Zeitung”, the Eisenstadt public prosecutor’s office ordered the operation because of dangerous threats.
