  Fierce competition at all levels, top players compete for tickets

After the first two days of competition, the laser-level, laser-radio-level, and mixed 470-level contestants were divided into gold and silver groups according to their performance. The contestants who entered the gold group meant that they could impact the qualifications of the Asian Games training team. Each level will have 5-6 players in the training team.

On the third day of the competition, the competition for the gold groups of all levels was extremely fierce. Shang Zitong of Shandong team ranked first in the Laser Radial field races and long distance races. Shang Zitong said: “The wind conditions in Haikou are very good. In the mixed 470 class, the Zhejiang pair Xu Zangjun/Xu Yani temporarily took the first place in the field race, and the Shanghai pair Zhang Xiaotian/Shen Xinyu took the first place in the long distance race. The Hainan combination also performed well, with Fu Qian/Wei Chuanliang rising to seventh in the track race and fourth in the long distance race. “The two of us have only been together for a month. Mixing the 470 level is about cooperation and tacit understanding. We still need a lot of time to hone. This is the first time for the two of us to play together. Through the competition, we continue to run in and accumulate experience.” Fu Qian said that they are currently ranked third in the mixed 470-level women’s helm group and hope to go further in the next competition.

According to the introduction of the chief referee Kang Peng, this competition is the laser class, the laser radio class and the hybrid 470 class. The laser class and the laser radio class are single boats. Internationally, the laser class is also called ILCA7, which is the men’s single Human boat; Laser Radial class is ILCA6, which is a women’s single boat. The Hybrid 470 is a double boat, one male and one female, and the positions are divided into helmsman and dagger. All three levels of competition are route races. According to the prescribed race course, when all prescribed signs are bypassed and the finish line is touched, the round of competition is ended.
