College Boer: Jos Ebbers (NVM) is in favor of land consolidation

Jos Ebbers is our guest in this episode of College Boer. He is department chairman of NVM Agricultural & Rural. At Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten he spoke to students about agricultural real estate and the future of students in it.

According to Ebbers, the future of students who follow the real estate brokerage course looks bright, because the current average real estate agent is often male, 55+ and gray. In view of the significant challenges in rural areas, there is a great need for a young new generation that wants to get its feet wet.

In addition, the NVM Agricultural & Rural department chairman is in favor of land consolidation, whether or not on a voluntary basis. After the Second World War, the power of land consolidation has already proven itself and it could be used as a basis for multi-dimensional plans. Broad reorganization is desirable, because then all kinds of people and consultancy institutions can focus on one set of instruments and the Netherlands can become future-proof as quickly as possible.

College Boer is a live event in which students, led by moderator and editor-in-chief Nieuwe Oogst Esther de Snoo, can ask a guest farmer their questions. It will be recorded and broadcast via YouTube and nieuwoogst.nl as a television broadcast and podcast. This episode with Jos Ebbers was recorded at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten.
