Monagas almost regained the advantage in the play immediately after, but Colo Colo went on offense in search of the comeback. Benegas missed the winning goal incredibly, with a wide header when he was alone in front of the rival goal.
The duel was complicated by discounts. Falcón made a childish mistake and lost possession when he was the last white man. Momentarily Colo Colo rose to second place in Group F with 5 points and will have to support Deportivo Pereira to lose against Boca and don’t take the job.
