An unfortunate event occurred this Tuesday during the arrival of Colo Colo at the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago. The Colocolina delegation arrived after noon to begin their journey in the next few minutes to the city of Iquique, where they will play the final of the Chile Cup against Magallanes tomorrow.
However, At the time of completing the procedures to carry out the checks, they realized that five Colo Colo players did not have their ticket for the trip.. These are Maximiliano Falcón, Alexander Oroz, Darío Lezcano, Fabián Castillo and Matías de los Santos, who could not travel to Iquique in the company of the delegation.
The soccer players were summoned as part of the Colo Colo delegation and, when they arrived at the boarding area, their tickets were not. However, the five athletes stayed in Santiago and returned to their respective homes.
It was even Maximiliano Falcón himself who shared a photo on his social networks. “We had to stay, my God.”, was the message that the central defender published along with a photo with the other four teammates who could not make the trip. An administrative error, which leaves the footballers without accompanying their teammates for the Chile Cup final.

No one could play in the final
It is important to consider that, despite the error in not having the tickets for the trip, None of the players were available to play, except for some decisions by the coach. In the case of Falcón, the defender is suspended for insulting the assistant referee in the return duel with Cobreloa.
Oroz continues his recovery from surgery after suffering a cut anterior cruciate ligament in his right leg. Argentine Matías de los Santos is not registered in the team for this second semester after suffering a torn meniscus in his knee.
And, finally, the situation of Lezcano and Castillo who have not been present in Colo Colo’s last games.
