Starting March 11, 2024, the Social Welfare Office in Cúcuta will restart the registration and application process for older adults who wish to access the benefits of the Colombia Mayor program, following the guidelines established by Social Prosperity.
The requirements to participate in the registration process are the following:
- Minimum age: Women 54 years old, men 59 years old.
- Belong to the SISBÉN of Cúcuta, with a maximum of C1 classification.
Interested parties must present the following documentation:
- Photocopy enlarged to 150% of the citizenship card on both sides.
- Photocopy of the SISBÉN of Cúcuta (maximum C1).
- FOSYGA or ADRESS certificate from Cúcuta.
- Photocopy of the utility bill (water or electricity).
- Two contact telephone numbers.
- An additional contact with first and last name.
- If you have a disability, present the corresponding card.
Documents will be received at the Social Welfare Office, located at Avenida 5 #13-82, Centro. The care process will be carried out according to the peak and ID system established per day, with the exception of people from rural areas, who will be attended to on the day of their visit for the registration process.
The hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 11:00 am in the morning, and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the afternoon, Monday to Friday, according to the following schedule:
- Monday: ID digits ending in 0 and 1.
- Tuesday: ID digits ending in 2 and 3.
- Wednesday: ID digits ending in 4 and 5.
- Thursday: ID digits ending in 6 and 7.
- Friday: ID digits ending in 8 and 9.
It is important to highlight that the Social Welfare Office carries out the entire management and coordination process of the Colombia Mayor national subsidy program, including the application, management of new developments, request for new subsidies, coordination with the paying entity and updating data on the older adults in the system.
