BOGOTÁ (AP) — The Colombian Civil Aeronautics reported Monday that a small plane with seven occupants disappeared in the morning following declaring an emergency due to engine failure.
The Cessna C206 type aircraft covered the route between Araracuara and San José del Guaviare, in the south-central part of the country, and the emergency call came from regarding 175 kilometers away from its destination.
So far, the whereregardings of the plane, identified with the registration HK2803, and which was traveling with two adults, four minors and the pilot, is unknown. Colombian authorities are searching for the aircraft with which all contact was lost. The Colombian Air Force had a plane and a helicopter for tracking tasks.
