Colorado recovered Saturday the advantage of the ice in the 2nd round of the NHL play-off which opposes it to St. Louis. The Avalanche went on to win 5-2 at Missouri to lead 2-1 in the series.
The Denver franchise forced the decision with a brace from Artturi Lehkonen and 29 saves from goalkeeper Darcey Kuemper. Nazem Kadri had a goal and an assist for the Avalanche, seeded No. 1 in the West.
St. Louis, who had won Act II with a score of 4-1, had nevertheless started this game in an ideal way by opening the scoring following 3’55”. But the Blues quickly had to deal without their goalkeeper Jordan Binnington, injured in the lower body in the 7th minute following being hit by teammate Calle Rosen and Kadri.
