Franz Colruyt, founder of Colruyt supermarkets, officially disappears from the group’s name.
This name change is on the agenda for the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders which will take place on October 10.
Currently, the name of the group’s parent company is Etablissementen Fr. Colruyt NV. The new name will be Colruyt Group NV.
Franz Colruyt began its activities in 1928 in Lembeek as a wholesaler of colonial goods, such as coffee and spices. He launched the food business in 1950.
