Comedian Gilbert Gottfried, Aladdin Star, Dies

KOMPAS.com – Comedy Gilbert Gottfried (67) died on Tuesday (12/4/2022).

Animated movie star Aladdin who was famous for his distinctive voice died following battling an old illness.

The news of Gottfried’s departure was announced by his family.

Reported VarietyGottfried died of myotonic dystrophy type 2, a form of muscular dystrophy.

“We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried following a long illness. In addition to being the most iconic voice actor in comedy, Gilbert is a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children.,” wrote one of the Gottfried family via Twitter.

“Even though today is a sad day for all of us, keep laughing as loud as you can out of respect for Gilbert,” he continued.

The news of Gottfried’s departure made many of his fellow comedians sad, including Jason Alexander, Dane Cook, and many others.

They paid tribute to Gottfried following the shocking news of his death circulated.

“Gilbert Gottfried is never not funny,” wrote Cook.

“He’s a fun guy, always friendly and makes a lot of people happy,” continued Cook.
