TMZ website revealed the arrest of international actress Tiffany Haddish, following it was confirmed that she fell asleep while driving her car, as the comedian appeared handcuffed, during more than one photo published on the site, in which it appeared that she was not involved in any accident.
Haddish reportedly fell asleep in her parked car while the engine was still running, and was subsequently arrested and released by Beverly Hills police.
Haddish was performing at The Laugh Factory comedy club the night before her annual free Thanksgiving concert, and according to TMZ, the actress is scheduled to stand trial on December 4.
A Beverly Hills Police spokesperson told the PA news agency: “Following an investigation, we arrested her for drink driving. She was booked and released regarding an hour ago.” NME attempted to contact Haddish’s manager for comment, but he did not respond.
