Comedian Yves Massicotte has died

Comedian Yves Massicotte passed away on April 8 at the age of 87.

The obituary of the one who had a career as an actor and director long over 70 years appeared in the last days.

Mr. Massicotte was particularly known for his roles in the television series “Les 100 tours de Centour”, “Fanfreluche” and the “surprise box”, in particular.

Yves Massicotte has also lent his voice to several cartoon characters, including Barney in “The Simpsons” and the Sultan in “Aladdin”. He has also done a lot of dubbing for big productions like “Titanic” in which he lends his voice to Captain Edward J. Smith.


At the theater, he has staged plays by Félix Leclerc which have been presented as far away as Paris.

The actor is survived by his wife and their five children.
