Game News Comic-Con: The game Gotham Knights offers a prequel centered on Batman

Scheduled for next October, Gotham Knights will offer an unprecedented story in the world of comics. Batman is dead, his disciples will have to take over in order to bring justice to Gotham City. For more on the Dark Knight’s disappearance, Warner Bros. will offer a prequel alongside the game.

After the success of the games Batman Arkham, Warner Bros. is preparing to immerse players once again in the shoes of masked vigilantes with the upcoming release of Gotham Knights. Rather than embodying the dark knight, players will this time have the choice between the different disciples of the batman. Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood and Robin will join forces to fight the evil that is eating away at Gotham City. In this game, it is impossible to embody Batman, since our hero of the night dies at the start of the plot. A tragic death confirmed during Comic-Con by the producers of the title.
For the moment, it is not yet known how the disappearance of the vigilante will be exactly staged. If the software must, a priori, reveal the secrets of this presumed death, Warner Bros. will also offer in the form of comics a prequel centered on Bruce Wayne. In this way, fans will be able to learn more about this new plot and understand certain elements during their play sessions.
Batman and the mysterious city of gold
On October 25, the release of Gotham Knights will therefore be accompanied by the first volume of this series of comics, entitled Gilded City (the golden city, or the city of gold). Over the course of the six comics that will appear over the following months, Batman and his team will have to investigate a mysterious and raging virus that infects the inhabitants of Gotham City. During their investigation, the Bat-justiciers will quickly come across Runaway, one of Gotham City’s first vigilantes, who served the city during the 19th century.
Good news for collectors, each volume will include a code to download additional content for Gotham Knights. Note that if you collect all six volumes, you will receive a seventh additional item.
The first volume of Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City is scheduled for release on October 25, the same day as Gotham Knights was released.
