The command center said that the virus gene sequencing of 132 local cases was carried out last week, of which 50 cases of BA.5 variant strain and 1 case of BA.4 variant strain were detected, with a detection rate of 37.9%, and more than half of them have not yet become mainstream viruses; In terms of geographical distribution, there were 35 cases in the north, 8 cases in the middle, 5 cases in the south and 2 cases in the east; according to the age group analysis of the cases, 14 cases were children and adolescents, and 36 cases were adults.
The command center said that the newly added BA.4 local case, a male in his 40s in the north, was a repeat infection case. The first confirmed case was on June 27. According to the statistics of the command center, there are 236 local cases in BA.5 and 4 cases in BA.4; in addition, since the epidemic to September 3, there have been 9,833 cases of repeated infection, of which more than 4,400 were reported in July. Reported after correction.
The command center said that although there are more than 9,000 cases of repeated infection, the rate is smaller than the existing more than 5 million cases of infection, and people who have been diagnosed are more likely to be infected with BA.5 than those who have never been diagnosed.
