ABU DHABI, 23rd September / WAM / The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Al Wathba Municipality Centre, organized an awareness event entitled “Our facilities we beautify with our own hands”, targeting visitors to Al Kadi Park in the Al Shamkha area, in cooperation with the Emirati Friends of the Environment Society and the Mothers of People of Determination Association “Himma”. And Al Ahlia Medical Group.
This comes within the framework of the municipality’s efforts to maintain the general appearance and clean, healthy environment of the parks and gardens located within its geographical scope, in order to enhance the principles of sustainability and quality of life standards.
The event, which lasted for three days, included many awareness workshops to raise the level of awareness among community members about the importance of preserving the general appearance of Abu Dhabi Parks, and the necessity of reducing distortions and improving the appearance and beauty of the city and its recreational facilities that were created to serve and delight all members of society.
The event also included enhancing the natural beautification elements of Al Kadi Garden in Al Shamkha by planting dozens of seedlings of seasonal flowers and various trees, as well as installing bird watering units in some areas of the garden, in addition to decorating the garden walls with many creative artistic drawings that gave the garden a different aesthetic and modern touch.
The People of Determination section, which specializes in drawing on a board in the free studio designated for them, attracted the attention of the attendees and participants, and the families and visitors thanked and appreciated the role of Abu Dhabi Municipality in providing an entertaining atmosphere for families.
The event included several free medical examinations for park visitors by the Al Ahlia Medical Group, in addition to educating visitors on some important medical advice, especially regarding first aid and how to initially deal with minor injuries that children may be exposed to while playing.
