They have the impression that they are being made fun of: commuters on train lines 96 Quévy-Mons and 97 Quiévrain-Mons have been angry since the presentation of the new SNCB transport plan at the start of the week.

Again in September, commuters and elected officials met with SNCB and Infrabel. Three months later, surprise! Instead of moving towards something “better”, the SNCB has decided to permanently eliminate one of the rush hour trains between Quévy and Mons, the one at 6:44 a.m. in the morning.
Géry Baele, spokesperson for the shuttleurs.be association, wonders if the aim of the SNCB is not quite simply to scare away users in order to ultimately justify the removal of the line.
