With the iOS/iPadOS 18 and the macOS Sequoia 15Apple has made new features available to those who use the app Messages (Messages) to exchange iMessages with other company device users.
One of them are the so-called Text Effectswhich can add a more fun touch to your conversations with friends or family. See what they are exactly and how to apply them! 
How to apply Text Effects in the Messages app on iPhone/iPad
With the app open, tap on a conversation and start typing whatever you want in the text field. Then, choose the stylized “A” button and see the available effects:
- Grande
- Small
- Shake
- wave
- Explosion
- Curling
- Highlight
- Tremor
Tap on the one you want and send the message as normal.
How to apply Text Effects in Messages app on Mac
Once you’ve typed whatever you want into a conversation’s text field, select it, right-click, and go to “Text Effects” to choose which one to use.
It’s worth remembering that these effects can only be used by those on iMessage.
