The International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) has imposed a fine of 41.3 million euros on the Belgian state in the context of a dispute with the logistics company DP World, writes Flows magazine . According to the latter, however, it is the Port of Antwerp which will have to put its hand in its pocket.

The dispute between DP World and Belgium concerns an area of 40 hectares located in the Antwerp port. This 300 meter long quay was originally part of the DP World concession but, as the company was not using it, the port authority transferred it to MPET (MSC-PSA) for seven years in 2014. A decision contested by DP World, considering that the shortfall had not been taken into account and seized the ICSID in 2017.
