From the exotic lion to the local ibex: the Salzburg Zoo inspires visitors of all ages with its diverse animal world.
1500 domestic and exotic animals from 150 different species – from the harvest mouse to the white rhino – live with us in natural, spacious facilities. Against the background of the impressive rock face of the Hellbrunner Berg, our visitors enjoy fascinating insights into the animal world and fantastic views of the Salzburg mountains.
The day is coming to an end and things are getting quieter at the zoo: a visit at this time is something very special. What is different in the evening than during the day? Which animals are already sleeping? Which ones are particularly lively and active now? After the regular opening hours, you can go on a tour of discovery, accompanied by a member of staff: in zoo education.
