Tanda August 07, 2022 (AIP)- The prefect of Tanda, Koné Tamkoly Benoît invited, on Sunday August 07, 2022, the populations to respect the barrier measures of the coronavirus disease and those of the Marburg virus disease, during the commemoration the accession to national sovereignty of Côte d’Ivoire.
“Alongside the coronavirus disease, there is another disease already present at our border with our Ghanaian neighbor which is called the Marburg virus disease”” he underlined before declaring this new highly contagious virus disease and deadly.
It manifests as hemorrhagic fever, diarrhea and headache.” Its mode of transmission is similar to that of the Ebola disease, that is to say through bodily fluids (saliva, sweat, blood)” he added, before inviting them to respect the rules of protection.
Regular hand washing, wearing a nose mask, not consuming bushmeat are recommended.
