“In terms of general health, prevention remains key, but this is particularly true in cases of breast cancer”, indicates Dr. Joseph Pujol. Advances in medicine and screening campaigns such as breast cancer should make it easier to identify potential tumors. “Screening is effective: in 2021 in Hérault the mammobile made it possible to detect 58 cases of cancer in the first reading, and 4 in the second. Regular screening allows cancer to be discovered as early as possible.”

The president of the Montpellier-Hérault Association for Breast Cancer Screening (AMHDCS) is therefore delighted with the return of the breast cancer to the territory of the Limouxin community of communes (CCL). It operates in rural and peri-urban areas to “promote access to care, particularly for populations who are far from certain facilities, as may be the case in the Haute Vallée”, underlined Pierre Durand. Two other possible screenings
