Approximately 450 people from the Tacarigua sector, located in the Manicuare parish of the Cruz Salmerón Acosta municipality (Araya), Sucre state, were treated with general medicine, pediatrics, immunization and medication delivery services during a day of comprehensive care deployed in the community.
During the medical care operation, nutritional supplements and anthropometric assessments were also delivered to people with a state of nutritional vulnerability, by specialists from the National Institute of Nutrition (INN).
The mayor of the jurisdiction, Daniel Ruíz, pointed out that the event was attended by a team of professionals from the public health system, the Somos Venezuela Movement, the José Gregorio Hernández Mission and social areas of the municipality’s mayor’s office.
“We continue to be activated in all the communities of Araya, providing protection through these days of comprehensive care, where free medicine, nutrition, advice and delivery of medicines are guaranteed to those who need it, it is a beautiful job that we have been doing since the mayor’s office of Cruz Salmerón Acosta together with the Sucre State Governor’s Office and his team from the Regional Health Foundation (Fundasalud)”, highlighted Ruíz.
He explained that the day was propitious for the work team of the José Gregorio Hernández Mission to recruit people with physical difficulties in order to guarantee them timely attention and the delivery of technical benefits provided by the Venezuelan State to strengthen their well-being. social.
“Thanks to this day of love and affection that we have activated for the people of Tacarigua, the recruitment of some people with motor disabilities was carried out, which in the coming days will receive from this program promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, the technical help they need. It is hard work that we carry out in the name of the Bolivarian Revolution, this is the meaning of the commitment that our president has to guarantee the greatest amount of happiness and the greatest possible state of well-being for the population”, the mayor emphasized.
In addition, the registration and updating of data in the Patria system was carried out by the Somos Venezuela Movement, indicated Ruíz. He maintained that, through these actions, they comply with the second line of work dictated by the National Executive, where it urges the expansion of attention and social protection to the most vulnerable places in the territory.

Mrs. Margarita Tineo, a resident of the Tacarigua sector, thanked the authorities for the health operation that allowed the inhabitants to receive care in different specialized consultations.
“Here they treated us with free ophthalmology, gynecology, dentistry and other health services. This day is a blessing for our community, we call for this not to be the only one and for them to once again carry out this day, so important for us who are suffering the ravages of the economic crisis”, he said.
Likewise, Yolanda Gutiérrez, beneficiary, exalted that the situation that the country is going through prevents them from going to health centers due to the limitation of not having the necessary resources to buy medicines on occasions, which is why she celebrated this comprehensive care activity .
“Without money, how do you go to the doctor? It is necessary to have some resources to be able to go to the health centers, while here they have given us the opportunity not only to receive medical attention, but they have also given us the opportunity to purchase medicines for free. Hopefully they will continue to use these days in our community since they are very necessary”, pointed out Gutiérrez.
