Congress rejects admission of vacancy motion against Dina Boluarte

The admission of a vacancy motion once morest the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, presented by the left-wing benches on the grounds of moral incapacity during her administration in the context of the protests once morest Parliament and the Government, was rejected.

Parliament did not reach the minimum number of votes required: 40% of the able congressmen. Only 37 legislators supported the motion, while 64 voted once morest it and 10 abstained.

The congressmen who had supported the motion had 46 votes out of the 50 required. However, the voting results ended with far fewer votes in favor.

As for the benches that voted once morest, these were Alianza para el Progreso, Avanza País, Renovación Popular, Fuerza Popular, among others.
