The bicycle user organizations GRACQ and Fietsersbond failed on Sunday to create the longest cycling chain in the world, between Brussels, Halle and Tubize, we learned from the Fietsersbond.

Despite the participation of 500 cyclists and a simultaneous start in the three cities, the chain could not be completed over the 22 kilometers long necessary to beat the record.

The attempt was part of Mobility Week and Car-Free Sunday in Brussels.
