Connor Bedard met Marc-André Fleury Thursday evening in Chicago.
During the shootout, the Blackhawks rookie missed his feint and Fleury tripped him with a weak stick shot to the legs.
Bedard remained on the ice for a few seconds, doubtful of the result of his shot and Fleury’s gesture. The latter subsequently gave a pat of encouragement to the very first choice of the 2023 auction.
