A spokesperson for the Irish District Court of Blanchardstown confirmed the information to ESPN on Thursday. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion is charged, in addition to his reprehensible conduct on the road, with driving without a valid license, failing to present a license, driving without car insurance and of having been unable to present the requested records.

McGregor had been apprehended as he headed to the gym. He was subsequently released. His case will return to court on June 23.

The athlete had lost his driver’s license in 2018 following an incident and has faced justice a few times in recent years. His last fight dates back to July 10 when he lost by K.-O. in front of Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. During this duel, he suffered a broken leg.
