(pm). The Bender Baskets Grünberg have a new head coach. As announced by the second division women’s basketball team, Conrad Jackson will be the new man on the sidelines.
After it became known in January that coach René Spandauw would be leaving Bender Baskets at the end of the season for personal reasons, the market was sounded out. Now Conrad Jackson has been committed.
Jackson, known from last season as the coach of the WNBL team “Team Mittelhessen”, has several years of second division experience as an assistant coach in Speyer and as a head coach in Weiterstadt. Both teams made it to the playoffs.
Due to the cooperation with Marburg, there will be a new squad made up of players from both clubs. The challenge is to form a team that understands each other on and off the field. The first sighting training sessions are currently taking place so that team training can start in August. A few preparatory games and tournaments are planned, including one in Weiterstadt. The season starts at the end of September.
