Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Congress Working Committee member A.K.Anthony said that Narendra Modi can be removed from power in the coming elections only if the majority and minority communities are kept together in the fight against the BJP. He was inaugurating the 138th Foundation Day celebrations of the Congress at the KPCC headquarters.
Congress should be able to bring all sections of people together. It is not appropriate to keep temple goers and tilak kuri wearers away in the name of soft Hinduism. It will help Modi come to power again. All religious people should be included. If the BJP comes back to power, the constitution itself will be abolished. The integrity and pluralism of India will be destroyed.
The BJP is also using the same strategy as the British who divided the people in the name of religion to maintain power. BJP is taking away the fundamental rights of the citizen and the basic principles of the constitution. It creates division in the name of language, caste, dress, food and religion. Antony said that only the Congress can protect India’s diversity and diversity.
