The influence of politics, especially the government, on the composition of the top ORF bodies, the Foundation Council and the Audience Council, will be publicly debated on September 26 before the Constitutional Court. The state of Burgenland has complained that there is too much political influence in a standard review procedure. The political influence contradicts the constitutional law on broadcasting, which requires independence, and the human rights convention.
