Doha: Roads and Public Places Beautification Supervisory Committee Project Design Manager Engineer Laila Jassim Salem said four new underpasses have been constructed to increase pedestrian traffic and ease access to the Cornish beach.
The underpasses will help increase the movement of people and facilitate pedestrians’ access to the beach without crossing the road.
Footpaths and crossings are provided for pedestrians and bicycles. Apart from Islamic Art Museum Tunnel, these subways will also include Al Dafna Tunnel, Corniche Station Tunnel and West Bay Station Tunnel.
An integrated network of pedestrian and cycle paths has also been established here.
