Police officers from Zell am See became aware of a driver on Sunday evening: The car accelerated significantly when it saw the patrol car.
The driver ignored the flashing lights and stop signs and fled at high speed along municipal roads in Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse. The police were able to stop the vehicle following a short pursuit. The 26-year-old driver did not have a valid driving license. A rapid drug test showed amphetamine and cocaine. A medical examination at the Tauer Clinic in Zell am See confirmed this. The 26-year-old confessed to having consumed several lines of cocaine the day before. He will be reported to the Salzburg public prosecutor’s office and the Zell am See district administration.

Several road users reported a car driving in a serpentine line on the A10 Tauernautobahn on Sunday evening. A patrol car from the Anif motorway police stopped the vehicle near Hallein. According to an alcohol test, the 40-year-old driver had 1.36 per mille of alcohol in his blood. He had to temporarily surrender his driving license on site and will be reported to the Hallein district administration.
