Michael Delafossethe mayor of Montpellier, issued an order this Saturday to ban the show that the controversial artist Dieudonne due Friday, August 18, at 8 p.m. The room where Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala, produced by SARL Les Productions de la Plume, is to perform, will only be communicated at the last minute.
“The numerous criminal convictions to which Mr. Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala has been subject for abusive language, inciting racial hatred, Holocaust deniers or advocating terrorism, and their regular and repeated characters reflect a deliberate desire to disseminate a discourse affecting the respect due to the dignity of the human person and contribute to the fragmentation of national cohesion. Consequently, this prohibition order aims to guarantee respect for public order, ”confirms Michaël Delafosse in a press release.

Dieudonné has also planned another show date set for Friday, October 7, at a location in Montpellier, which is not revealed to the public, to preview his new show, which the prefect of police of Paris, Laurent Nunez wants to ban.
A one-man-show which should also be banned by the local mayor. Elected officials from here alerted the Hérault prefecture during the week to prohibit the arrival of Dieudonné on August 18. Under his mandate as mayor, a similar decree signed by Philippe Saurel had been challenged by the administrative justice.
