After the widespread controversy sparked by the series “One Wife is Not Enough” in Kuwait, the Ministry of Information announced “to stop anyone who participated in any artistic work that offends Kuwaiti society from participating in any artistic or theatrical works filmed or shown inside Kuwait.”

The Assistant Undersecretary for Press at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information said, “The role of the Ministry of Information is to preserve the values and traditions of Kuwaiti society and highlight its true image and adherence to values and morals.”
