A video of a cyclist honking his horn and hitting cars on the bike path went viral in Twitter on January 9 and continues to be a trend. The protagonist of the controversial content is called Cristian, but He presents himself in his networks as Bicibandido.
Another of his videos that is circulating on the networks shows him at the moment when hits a car with his chain and then he has to ask a policeman for help because the driver started chasing him. This material is compiled by Cristian himself, who tours the city with a GoPro stuck to the chest

His fame increased and he has almost 190,000 followers on TikTok, with hundreds of thousands of reproductions. He also has a YouTube channel and an Instagram profile to share the same content. Some users celebrate its “justice” spirit, while many others criticize the way it draws attention from passers-by and drivers.

Regarding the videos commented on the networks, the cyclist defended himself: “It is not that I break mirrors all the time, every day. It is a compilation that went viral” and insisted on noting that cyclists are also transit and have rights.

In addition, he complained about the drivers who block the bike lanes and pointed out that he, who also has a car, always try to leave the passage freebut not everyone follows suit. “In order not to cover the cars, they cover us,” he claimed.
Given the point that his way of raising awareness is not always the most convenient and can even be close to illegal, Cristian acknowledged that does not always react in the best way, although he argued: “They have even told me ‘if I want, I’ll hit you and the insurance will pay you.’ So, the people who go out to drive, who supposedly say that they don’t go out to kill, tell you those things and you are unprotected on the bicycle, you don’t have a bodywork. It gives a lot of impotence and, many times, one cannot control oneself ”.

The Bicibandido justified his way of acting by mentioning other equally violent content creators and considered that it was the best way to get the message across: “I saw that they went viral breaking mirrors and I said ‘I’m going to break a mirror and I won’t break it anymore if I do something.’” For him, there is no entity that defends him or the other cyclists: “Do not care. They kill us every day and nobody is outraged,” he said.
