Converge’s Ben Koller shares insight as to what the new album will sound like

Converge Announces They’ve Recorded 27 New Songs

Heavy music titans Converge have been hard at work on new material, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their next release. Drummer Ben Koller, known for his ferocious beats and unique personality, took to X/Twitter to keep fans in the loop.

A Mountain of Riffs, Ten Tracks Done

“We have 27 songs & 10 of them we consider ‘done.’ All leftover riffs will be auctioned off. We will tell you what they sound like e.g. ‘Philly mosh’ or ‘Melvins Stoner Doom’ but you can’t hear them. Kinda like a foreclosure where they don’t let you see inside the house”

While fans are left yearning for a taste of the new music, Koller’s cryptic description promises a diverse and intense listening experience.

Back in the Studio: A Closer Look

Earlier this summer, Koller offered fans a glimpse into the recording process, sharing clips from the studio sessions held at God City Studio, owned and operated by guitarist Kurt Ballou. While these snippets didn’t reveal any actual music, they did capture the band’s intense focus and undeniable dedication to their craft.
