Convicted of having removed the condom without consent, PM asks for a more severe sentence

The prosecutor believes that a heavier sentence should be handed down to a 28-year-old Rotterdammer who took off his condom during sex without asking his partner for consent, NOS says. The 28 year old man he was acquitted by the court a week and a half ago of rape and sentenced to a three-month suspended prison sentence for but the prosecutor is appealing this verdict.

According to the indictment, there was not only private violence but also rape. Therefore, a higher fine should be imposed. The Rotterdammer had consensual sex with a woman in 2021 but with the use of a condom, says NOS.

During the embrace, the man paraded secretly and in February, during a proceeding on the case, the prosecutor had asked for a year’s imprisonment, of which four months were suspended. The punishment ultimately meted out by the court was less, because the sentence for private violence is less than that for rape.
