Part of a convoy ran off the tracks in the western Minnesota town of Raymond overnight Wednesday through Thursday.
A number of town residents were evacuated.
The first images show flames and smoke rising from the overturned wagons.
The cars reportedly left the tracks at 1 a.m. that night, Raymond’s fire department said in a Facebook post.
The train was carrying mixed cargo, including ethanol and corn syrup, according to CNN reports.
No injuries have been reported and railway personnel are currently on site and will work with first responders.
