Russia has announced 9,709 cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, registering around 10,000 people for the third time in a week. Russia thus becomes the second country in the world, after the USA, for the total number of patients who are 281,752. The number of deaths was slightly lower than the previous day, 119, a record since the beginning of the pandemic. There are 2,631 dead in total.
10.58 am – Brazil fourth country in the world by number of infections
Brazil was the first Latin American country to register a case of contagion and in absolute terms it is the one with the highest numbers as regards infected and deceased people in the region.
