Corruption Eradication Commission investigators found a quantity of foreign currency during searches in several locations on Thursday, March 7 2024. The money is believed to be related to alleged fraud in fictitious investment activities at PT Taspen (Persero).
“(Found) a sum of money in foreign currency denominations which is thought to be able to explain the alleged actions of the suspects,” said KPK enforcement spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement, Sunday (10/3).
The searches were carried out at four houses in Cipinang, East Jakarta; Menteng, Central Jakarta; and Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. Meanwhile, the apartment that was searched was Belleza, who lives in South Jakarta.
Ali was reluctant to detail the total money found. Investigators also confiscated a number of documents related to this case.
“Evidence was found and secured, including documents and financial investment records, electronic devices,” said Ali.
The Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s News Department said that his party would analyze the money, until the documents were found. In-depth investigation was carried out by examining a number of witnesses.

“Confiscation and immediately analyzing the findings of the evidence will then be confirmed by witnesses who will soon be summoned by the investigative team,” said Ali.
This case started with a public report. The Corruption Eradication Committee has raised the case to the investigation stage and has named a suspect.
However, his identity is still kept secret at this time. In-depth information will be revealed by the KPK through a press conference when the detention is carried out. (Z-3)
