“Corsicans have a certain modesty, I’m very touched by that” (VIDEO)

In “Building permit”, showing on March 9, Didier Bourdon plays a Parisian dentist who inherits land in Corsica with his father’s last wish to have a house built there.

So he leaves with his wife, played by Anne Consigny, and their architect, the “Karl Lagerfeld of architecture” played by Simon Abkarian, to carry out this project in the heart of a village in Haute-Corse. The adventure promises to be complicated

This written comedy, directed and starring actor and comedian Eric Fraticelli, introduces viewers to the Corsican self-mockery, the macagna.

To talk about the film, Didier Bourdon was this evening on the set of C à vous on France 5. The opportunity for him to discuss his relations with the Corsican public, who gave the film a warm welcome at the premiere.

He explains: “We feel that there is a strong admiration for Corsica, for protecting the landscape. Afterwards on the sensitive side, it’s true, but they play it”.

He adds: “There is a certain modesty. And I prefer this modesty to people who are more expressive but less profound”.

If for several years Didier Bourdon leads a solo career, many wonder about a possible return of the Unknowns. An event that could occur in the coming months. Didier Bourdon has indeed confirmed half-words in the Gala edition of March 3, 2022: “At the end of this year, it will be thirty years since the last program of the Unknowns was broadcast on television. It’s not impossible that after digging through our archives, we’ll get together on a channel to look into this.”

He adds: “We also have a film project written by someone else, but it’s too early to talk about it”.

Remember that the Unknowns, a troupe he formed with Bernard Campan and Pascal Légitimus, are the only artists to have won a Molière, a César, a 7 d’or, and Victoires de la Musique at the same time.
