On the occasion of the emblematic cycling race L‘ ANDtape Greece by Tour of France presented by SKODAwhich is organized in April for the second consecutive year in Ancient Olympia by GOOD LIFE Greece and Western Greecewas held on Wednesday, February 14, at the Olympic Museum of Athensevent and open discussion about urban and tourist cycling and the prospects for further development that exist in our country.
The most popular and demanding cycling race in the world returns to Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic games, at April 6, 2024, with a specially designed set of routes and stages. Cycling fans, both professionals and amateurs, will have the opportunity to ride 3 enjoyable routes in the unique natural landscapes of the Western Peloponnese. The event offers two routes of 128 and 76km, The Race and The Ride respectively, and this year will also feature The Fun Ride, a much easier, flat, non-competitive 17km route for cyclists aged 9 to 99 of all abilities . It is worth noting that the winner of this year’s race will have the opportunity to participate in the “Paris 2024” Olympic Torch Relay!

The above topics were developed, among others, in the discussion held by: Vassilis Diamantopoulos, President of the Hellenic Cycling Federation, Thanasis Papadimitriou, Founder and President of EY ZHN GreeceYiannis Papanikolaou, Greek Champion, Balkan Champion and Doctoral Candidate at the University of Athens specializing in Urban Cycling.
