Countdown to the Cricket World Cup: Indian Stadium Preparations and Updates

Less than 100 days are left for the much awaited ODI World Cup for sports fans. This time India is hosting the Cricket World Cup. According to reports, BCCI has allocated Rs 500 crore for various preparations. 50 crores will be given to the cricket associations of each state to improve the stadiums.

This time, the stadiums of Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Dharamshala, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Kolkata will be the venues for the World Cup matches. Also, warm-up matches are held in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram. All these World Cup venues are gearing up to welcome the cricket mammoth. Flood lights, corporate boxes, new pitch, dressing rooms, out field and many other facilities need to be installed in the stadiums. The amount allocated by BCCI will be used mainly for such purposes. The renovation works of the Dharamshala Stadium, where the first five matches will be held, have been completed.
