Courtenay’s Cultural Center: A Varied Program for 2022

2024-01-20 04:00:00

After an initial program for its cultural center in 2022, the municipality of Courtenay persists and signs with a new varied program.

Five meetings until the end of spring, in fields as varied as theater, music and contemporary dance, this is what Benjamin Poisson, director of cultural affairs of Courtenay, is proposing, in consultation with Christel Hecquet, assistant to Culture. “The idea is to discover the different arts, without attaching any labels,” explains Benjamin Poisson, with twenty years of experience in live entertainment as a manager.

Bruno Putzulu in a single on stage

Other events will be added to this calendar: exhibitions, events organized by associations, two pieces by amateur theater groups, music school meetings, etc.

“What seems important to me is that it is not the municipality which decrees what “good culture” is. To this, I prefer co-programming, like the one done with Les Amis de l’Orgue, who proposed Bruno Putzulu, in a single on stage on Les Ritals de Cavanna. It’s a high-quality proposition,” explains the manager.

He adds: “Another example: Alexandre Messina is a great director and what’s more, he’s a Curtinian. Programming his I love you, film me for Valentine’s Day, which combines cinema, meeting and concert, was therefore obvious. »

Regarding the first date on Friday January 26, with à la carte improvisation cabaret, Benjamin Poisson explains: “I discovered them near Gien. The company Service included is excellent, it’s fresh, accessible to all”, concluding: “Youth remains the big priority. People who haven’t entered a theater before their twenties are difficult to win over afterwards. »
