Hospitalizations related to COVID-19 started to rise again on Wednesday, with an increase of 33 patients.
According to the latest report, 1,324 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized, including 479 due to the disease.
In intensive care, however, there is a decrease of one patient, for a total of 33. Among them, 20 are treated specifically for the disease.
Quebec also announced five new deaths, four of which occurred two to seven days ago. A death occurred more than seven days ago.
Since the start of the pandemic, 18,078 Quebecers have lost their lives after contracting the disease.
As for cases, relative stability, with 552 new infections. However, it should be considered that these figures are probably underestimated due to the restricted access to screening centres. Quebecers also reported Tuesday 30 new cases detected by rapid tests.
Regarding vaccination, 1,928 Quebecers received an injection on Tuesday.
