Starting today, infants and young children under the age of five can be vaccinated against Covid-19.
According to the vaccination task force, children aged six months to four years can be vaccinated with a vaccine for infants and young children developed by Pfizer. Three vaccinations must be given at intervals of eight weeks.
The task force pointed out that infants and young children are at greater risk of serious illness or death than children or adolescents. High-risk groups are strongly recommended to be vaccinated.
Infants or young children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the vaccination appointment.
